Answer: Introduction The logistic and supply chain management has become one of the important concerns for the organisations especially for the travel and tourism industry. The logistics management of the company refer to the activities that take place within the boundaries of the organisation while the supply chain management refers to the coordinated activities to deliver a product or service in the market (Christopher 2016). Role of logistics and supply chain management in organisation Easy Track Ghana Ltd is a well known industry in Africa in the tourism industry. The logistics management of Easy Track Ghana helps the company to increase its efficiency and reduce the operational cost of the company. Managing logistics based on the system theory helps the company boost up the performance by increasing the productivity and lowering the cost (Fung and Fung 2014). Furthermore, by creating an effective relation with the suppliers, transport agencies, accommodation agencies and connecting these services through an automated system, the company is able to reduce the overhead cost and deliver the service at a faster pace (Stadtler 2015). The supply chain management of Easy Track Ghana Ltd is responsible in creating customer satisfaction and increase the profitability of the company (Hassini, Surti and Searcy 2012). Role of logistics and supply chain management in national economy The logistics and the supply chain of the company plays have a significant impact on the national economy of Ghana. The logistics is an important part of the supply chain that includes planning, implementation and reverse flow of goods and services (Schnsleben 2016). The supply chain is responsible for the rapid growth of the multinational corporations and strategic partnership in the economy of Ghana. The effective logistics and supply chain management affects the corporate strategy and the bottom line of the company that supports in the global expansion of the business (Tigu and Calaretu 2013). The supply chain management also helps to create the foundation and infrastructures within the society of Ghana (Refer to appendix 1). Role of logistics and supply chain management in global supply chain In the global supply chain, the logistics and the supply chain management has an effective role to perform. The cultural diversity is addressed well with its help. The global supply chain supports the globalisation and the development of the economy. It helps the companies in joining worldwide trends and development in a faster, consistent and cheaper way (Rushton, Croucher and Baker 2014). The competitiveness in the global supply chain is also improved that is effective in addressing the shortage issue in the supply chain all over the globe. The organisations having global network need to have effective logistics and supply chain management to facilitate the qualified advantage over the other economies (Refer to appendix 2). Conclusion The logistics and the supply chain management play an active role in the business of Easy Track Ghana Ltd. It has not only supported the company to increase its productivity and efficiency but also provide a sustainable position to the company in the competitive market of Ghana, Africa. The logistics and the supply chain management are not only beneficial for the organisation but also for the national economy and the global supply chain of Ghana.
